Congrats Panda card (Kitty Bee Designs image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

This is the first time I've used a Kitty Bee Designs image, isn't this panda a sweetie? I created some background paper with my oxide inks and water, I used my stitched square die as an embosser (by using the embosser plates instead of cutting plates) just for a little extra in the background. I made the scene with some chipboard fence inked black.

Candy Stripes Summer Birthday card (Crafts & Me/Hannah Lynn image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I've been MIA for more than a week which is very unlike me, I do love my blogging. I have been creating, some cards for magazines so I can't post them but here's a few I've created just for fun, hope you like them.

This first one is a very summery card using scraps of yellow, pink and blue cardstock. I used double sided tape all over a square of white cardstock then added strips of the colour cardstocks to it and then turned it over to trim off all the overhang. I used to think crafters worked out the sizes etc that they needed for strips like this but it's so much easier to use a really long strip, tape/glue it down and then cut the extra bits off. I also created a rectangle and did the same.  The strip at the bottom was left overs - I just mounted it onto yellow cardstock too for another element. I inked around everything in pink ink. This card looks so much lovelier in real life. You can find the image at Crafts and Me (artist Hannah Lynn).

Pirate Bear birthday card (Bugaboo image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

Oh My Gosh, I just love this little pirate bear and how he coloured up, he's so cute! You can find him at Bugaboo. I have used these background papers before and was surprised at how easily the card came together - well it happened again! I was muddling around with all sorts of papers and then I remembered I had this paper somewhere in my box of boys papers so off I went hunting and I'm so glad I did. I cut out 3 pictures from the paper too and mounted them onto black cardstock as embellishments.

The Wallpaper and Painter Guy Birthday card (Dr Digi image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I was totally inspired by this image from Dr Digi's to create a scene where's he's scruffily putting up wallpaper. I had seen a similar type card ages ago on Pinterest and it's always been on my mind to have a go myself.

Once I'd finished my card I showed my husband and mentioned how I'd cut wood designer paper into strips, inked them to make them look like floorboards - he asked me did I cut them in different widths so that the "closest" floorboard was much bigger than the "back" floorboard - Well how clever is he!?! Now that he's said it I just keep thinking how I needed to do that to give it a more realistic look, next time lol. I used some liquid pearls for the "paint".

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Brown Sugar - anything goes

Lollipop Birthday Girl card (Little Miss Muffet image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I made these 2 background papers with my new oxide inks. I sponged the outside one with pink ink and sprayed with water. The middle one I used my circle die negatives to sponge on yellow, orange and pink inks. If you have a multi-circle template that would be easier but I have made my own with a piece of card and die cut holes/circles out of it. The sweet little image is from Little Miss Muffet

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

AllSorts - use at least 2 dies - square frame and sentiment dies
