Floral Pink and Green Birthday card

Hi Crafty Friends,

This paper was so beautiful I didn't have to do too much to it. I heat embossed the sentiment in white, distressed all the edges and added a butterfly and some banners and voila!

Let's celebrate 21st birthday girl card (Polkadoodles image)

Hi crafty friends,

It's the start of a new Polkadoodles challenge and they're always "anything goes". For the DT they give us a theme each time and this week it is to add a number. So I decided to use this gorgeous image as I thought she would be perfect for a 21st birthday card. It's a bit daring of me to give her a black dress using my Copics as I'm definitely not a colourist but sometimes it's fun to challenge yourself isn't it? Its all about the folds and creases and keeping them light. Dresses with lots of folds or creases like this are the easiest to colour black I think. I've added a close up photo below but if you click on them it will enlarge (so don't look too closely, my eyes aren't what they used to be hehe).

Make a wish Mermaid card (Polkadoodles image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's been around a couple of weeks since I posted I think but I was busy closing down my craft business so it took a lot of my time, I hope you may have missed me a little bit? I'm back now and I've got loads of cards to show over the coming weeks as I'm more freed up (for now anyway as I'm starting an Interior Design course in 2 weeks, I haven't been to school in about 30 years, yikes lol!)


Anyway, onto my cards now and I love this mermaid from Polkadoodles. She comes pre-coloured, just the background coloured or all black & white. I printed it out with the background coloured as that would take forever to create such a beautiful water look (and I'd never get it looking that good lol) and I coloured just her. I heat embossed some chipboard shells and sea items to give them all a nice colour/shine.

Pink Girly card (Polkadoodles image)

Grace and birds (A Day for Daisies image)

Hi crafty friends,

I made this card for my lovely niece who just turned 17, I thought it was a perfect image for her as she has long beautiful hair just like this. You can buy the image at A Day for Daisies. I made the background papers with my distress oxide inks, some water and Nuvo drops.

Diesel's Basketball Birthday card

Hi Crafty Friends,

I made this card for one of my son's friend who loves basketball. I googled for basketball images, printed it out and then used a circle die to cut it out. I doodled "bouncing" marks. I used a Batman style font for the sentiment.
