If you're one of my followers you would have seen that I have just made a Tent Topper card for my guest DT spot at Tuesday Throwdown. Before that challenge I had no idea they existed but now I am totally in love with tent toppers and have made another already haha!! I did a bit of paper piecing here as the gingham paper inspired me. You may also notice I have been using the little white and pink resin flowers a lot, I just can't get enough of them as they are so perfectly sized for cards. Did you see I put 3 little tiny ones in her basket hehe?
The beautiful image is from The Paper Shelter, isn't she so sweet? This the first time I've created with her. The pearls are by Flourish with a Bling.

ReplyDeleteHi Lucy, I am so sorry hun but Gingham originated in the 17th Century, in the 18th Century it was a major part of the cotton industry in Lancashire UK. I'm certain that is when the check pattern was first used and the fabric was used in clothing. 20th century is more about man made materials and so very many more amazing facts, figures and events. Thank you for seeking to join us at Craft-Room Challenge better luck next time.
ReplyDeleteYour card is so sweet. Love the image. Thanks for playing along with us at Fab´n´Funky Challenges. Have a wonderful day and good luck! Hugs, Sujin
