Thank you Miss Gowns card (Saturated Canary image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

As you may have just read on my last blog post, we are getting ready for our 16 year old daughter Chloe to do her Debutante Ball next week. The ladies where we bought her dress were absolutely wonderful and so helpful that we wanted to send a thank you card. So being a bridal/deb dress shop I knew I needed to use a ball gown image and this one from Saturated Canary I thought was perfect. I don't seem to be able to make dresses appear white by using greys like some very clever crafters out there so I decided to give her a pink dress instead hehe. I added some bling to her hair and shabbied up the card. Sometimes businesses deserve recognition don't they so I'm really hoping they like the personalised card made just for them.

A baby shower card (Stamping Bella image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have finally got a use for this gorgeous stamp from Stamping Bella. I have had it for a while but haven't had a baby shower invitation since haha. The stamp is quite large so I stamped the image then photocopied it onto copic blending paper in a reduced size. Sadly, I can't make the baby shower as it is on the same day as my daughter's deb ball but I thought it would be nice to send a card to my sister-in-law in time for her shower.

Dad's Birthday Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

I've been missing in action for over week, very unlike me but my company, Flourish with a Bling did a craft show all last weekend and my daughter is doing her Deb ball next week and there has been no time to craft sob sob. Until now, woohoo hehe! I have made my dad a Birthday card first off, I had to get the urgent cards made before I can just create for fun :)

I used a Happy Birthday stamp and some black embossing powder to create the sentiment then I coloured it in with a silver pen and added black pen to the right hand side of the letters to make them more 3D. Behind them is an embossed silver sheet, please don't look too closely as I think the embossing is back to front, I really must remember to be more careful with this embossing folder as this is the 2nd time I have done it where the bits indent rather than protrude out. To give the cogs a blackened silver feel I first lightly sprinkled some black embossing powder over the cog and then sprinkled the silver over, I didn't want them looking to silver shiny and new.

I love this beautiful image from Art by Miran and she was so lovely to colour. The dots and flowers are part of the image, I just added some pearls and coloured the dots and flowers in. I used a circle and scallop circle punch to create the banner.

Just for you Bear with flower pot card (Little Miss Muffet image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I tried my hand at distress inks for this card, sponging 3 different shades and then die cutting a circle from it. I also used an embossing folder rather than patterned papers which is my normal paper of choice :)

This oh-so-cute little bear comes from Little Miss Muffet.
