Lilac & Blue Birthday card

Hi crafty friends,

I know what you're thinking, is this a Lucy card, it certainly doesn't look like one hehe! You are not seeing things, I do realise there is no coloured cutie on my card, I created this for my Stepmum and I thought she'd appreciate this better. The Birthday sentiment is a stamp and I used a stencil as a mask and sprayed to make the background. I have used a gorgeous Maddison lilac flower from Flourish with a Bling who are having a huge sale, please see below for links and details.

Black & pink Birthday Girl (Crafts & Me/Hannah Lynn image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

Take a look at the mess I made of this image! I was blissfully colouring her hair in black and greys then took my hand away to see I had smeared black copic ink all over her pretty face! I sat dumbfounded for a couple of minutes wondering if I should throw the whole thing away but then decided this was a test of my craftiness hehe. 

So I printed her out exactly the same size, coloured just her face then fussy cut the original image and glued her "hair" carefully onto the new image and voila, good as new!! Instead of keeping this my "dirty" little secret (pardon the pun haha), I decided to share with you all so that if it ever happens to you, you know all is not lost.

Now onto my card and this stunning image comes from Crafts and Me, the artist is Hannah Lynn. These papers are from Bo Bunny, my favourite paper company.

Elegant lady card (A Day for Daisies image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

Isn't this a beautiful image, she was so much fun to colour as she's so elegant! A Day for Daisies is where you can find her and a couple more similar to this image. I thought I would add some chipboard hanging "jewels" and keep the card fairly simple but elegant like her.

Girly Birthday wishes (Kenny K image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

Do you craft to get away from it all sometimes? I definitely do, I need time to myself to go into my own little world and create happy cards and boy have I been doing a lot of that over the past month hehe.

Dorothy and Toto girly card (Crafts & Me/Hannah Lynn image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

Who doesn't love The Wizard of Oz movie? I grew up watching it every Christmas in England (I live in Australia now) and I just adored it. So when I saw this gorgeous Dorothy & Toto image from Crafts and Me (Hannah Lynn is the artist) I just had to have it. I got to use some Tim Holtz film strips which I haven't used very often. I printed the image at 75% so that it wasn't a completely black outline. I also coloured her dress blue and then doodled checks on it in white.

I'm a Covergirl - Woohoo!!! Well, my card is hehe...

Hi crafty friends,

I can't believe it!! My card made the front cover of a wonderful magazine here in Australia called Australian Papercraft Essentials. I was asked to create 7 cards in issue 48 which is due out on the 14th January but I never expected they'd choose my card as the main attraction on the front page, I'm so excited and so I just had to share it with you all hehe. The theme was girly (thank goodness!) and I was to use gorgeous images from Cute as a Button. I will be able to post them all on my blog at some stage but for now I am not allowed :(

Can you believe Faery Ink Designs gave this beautiful image as a freebie? Thank you so much to them as I adore her! I cropped the image, it seems to be my thing at the moment hehe. 

I love these papers from Bo Bunny too, they have so much lovely detail to them you only need to add a few embellishments to finish the card.
