Snorkelling shaker card (Scrapper's Delights image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

Can you believe I've created over 900 cards and this is my first shaker card? I absolutely loved doing this but it wasn't quite as easy for me as the lady I watched on Youtube hehe! I used some large glitter and some sea items as well as the gorgeous little snorkeler from Scrapper's Delights. I added a flatter foam tape to him so that he still stood out but not as far as the front of the card (if that makes sense?) I love this bubble paper for the background as it looks like its coming from his snorkel doesn't it?

A Mermaid's wish (Elaine Cox image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

Out of the 4 cards to show you tonight 3 of them are male cards, that is so unlike me! Anyway, hopefully this is girly enough to make up for the lack of female cards today. I coloured up a beautiful image from Elaine Cox (I don't have a link as I won this through Sweet Pea Stamps that are now closed). I love using cheesecloth material with mermaids, it just seems like an ocean type item somehow.

Our Hero (Bugaboo image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I had my hubby in mind when I created this cute card. I used another Bugaboo image and then used my dies to create a polaroid of a city. This ended up quite fiddly as I needed to make the "windows" yellow like there are lights on so a bit of fussy cutting required but I like the end result. I thought the blue paper with white dots looked like snow. I embossed the red cardstock too. Lastly some faux stitching was required.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

A Gem of a Challenge - weather (snowing)
Catch the Bug - anything goes
C.R.A.F.T. - inspired by a film - Superman
Crafting by Designs - Once upon a time (a superhero story)

Ribbon Girl - any card

An orange summer garden card (Magnolia image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I am having a terrible time trying to take nice, natural photos of my cards at the moment as it's winter here in Australia and not a sun ray in sight! So making the best of it for now and may take a better photo when and if the sun comes out tomorrow (I sound like Orphan Annie don't I haha).

I used a lovely Magnolia image for this card and a Lawn Fawn sun die which is one of my faves. This card is a really easy shape to create but I like how it looks. Keep the fold at the top then evenly cut both sides on an angle to make the triangle leaving enough gap at the top so the card still has a steady fold. It stays up nicely still too.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

All About Magnolia - all about shaped cards
Magnolia-Licious - flowers and/or photo inspiration
Simply Magnolia - summer
Time for Magnolia - anything but square

AllSorts - the great outdoors

Having a drink for your Birthday (Saturated Canary image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

You can really tell it's winter here in Oz by the horrible colours my cards are turning out in photos urghhhh lol!! I cannot get a sunny day to take a nice natural photo at all, I'm sure I have a few of you nodding your head having the same issues on miserable weather days.

Anyway, enough grumbling hehe, my card is a Saturated Canary image with pastel colours. I bought a new large flower shaped die at the last craft show, this is the first time I've used it. I added some Liquid Pearls to outline it and add some dots too. I added a little pink bling heart to her hair bow.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Art by Miran - anything goes
As you like it - Fave - food or drink - I love both so I have entered with a food card but now a drink one - I don't like soft drink so I think she is sipping on a milkshake hehe.
Copic Marker Norge - lace and ribbon
The Crafty Addicts - anything goes/summertime
Crafty Catz - add a butterfly
Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper -  anything goes with patterned paper
Creative Inspirations - spring into summer
CropStop - use your stash/anything goes (Spellbinders oval die & Martha Stewart butterfly punch)
