Happy Holiday card (Conie Fong image)

Hi crafty friends,

I cropped a beautiful Conie Fong mermaid so there was room for a nice big sentiment. This is actually a Kaisercraft Christmas sentiment die but I just cut off the "s" from Happy Holidays to Happy Holiday, perfect for a vacation card! As you can tell, I hand cut the speech bubbles :)

FWAB girly Birthday card

Hi Crafty Friends,

I created this card to promote my company's beautiful products to our customers but we sadly closed on the weekend. The products used were flowers, green glossy leaves and shiny teal flourish. We still have some products left so please feel free to email me (addy is on the right hand side of my blog) if ever you wanted any - I'll sell all our products at $2 each (up to $5 rrp) Australian Dollars. If they can fit in a large letter envelope I can send them quite cheap internationally. Our online store is still open at the moment if you wanted to check out all our products - Flourish with a Bling. I love all our products so you'll still see me use them often.

I Sea it's your Birthday card (Little Miss Muffet image)

Hi crafty friends,

I made this background with my distress oxide inks, some masking paper and some Nuvo drops/glitter glue. I accidentally got a big yellow ink splodge behind the big cloud hence it's position on the card hehe. This was a new technique for me so definitely some learning curves, crafters on Youtube make it look so easy don't they?? The little boat and sentiment  are from Polkadoodles. The gorgeous beach girl is from Little Miss Muffet. I added some glossy accents to the floatie but you can't see it in the photo.

Floral Pink and Green Birthday card

Hi Crafty Friends,

This paper was so beautiful I didn't have to do too much to it. I heat embossed the sentiment in white, distressed all the edges and added a butterfly and some banners and voila!

Let's celebrate 21st birthday girl card (Polkadoodles image)

Hi crafty friends,

It's the start of a new Polkadoodles challenge and they're always "anything goes". For the DT they give us a theme each time and this week it is to add a number. So I decided to use this gorgeous image as I thought she would be perfect for a 21st birthday card. It's a bit daring of me to give her a black dress using my Copics as I'm definitely not a colourist but sometimes it's fun to challenge yourself isn't it? Its all about the folds and creases and keeping them light. Dresses with lots of folds or creases like this are the easiest to colour black I think. I've added a close up photo below but if you click on them it will enlarge (so don't look too closely, my eyes aren't what they used to be hehe).

I hope you'll join in with the challenge, you don't have to use one of their products but it'd be lovely if you do.

Make a wish Mermaid card (Polkadoodles image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's been around a couple of weeks since I posted I think but I was busy closing down my craft business so it took a lot of my time, I hope you may have missed me a little bit? I'm back now and I've got loads of cards to show over the coming weeks as I'm more freed up (for now anyway as I'm starting an Interior Design course in 2 weeks, I haven't been to school in about 30 years, yikes lol!)


Anyway, onto my cards now and I love this mermaid from Polkadoodles. She comes pre-coloured, just the background coloured or all black & white. I printed it out with the background coloured as that would take forever to create such a beautiful water look (and I'd never get it looking that good lol) and I coloured just her. I heat embossed some chipboard shells and sea items to give them all a nice colour/shine.
