Up Up and Away Birthday Boy card (Bugaboo image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I love this little image from Bugaboo and I just thought he'd be so cute floating above the tree tops near clouds. I die cut my sun out of some scrap paper so I could use the negative part to make a stencil and ink it up. I used a couple of different shades of green distress inks and then die cut the trees from it.

I looked through my shabby chic board and then went upstairs to create hoping all the cards I'd seen would blend into one beautiful creation lol. Ice cream delivered with love (Bugaboo image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

This little girl with her over-sized ice cream is a bit cute isn't she? The image comes from Bugaboo. I used some texture paste and a stencil to create the background pattern, while it was wet I added some glitter to it then once dry I lightly hairsprayed it (apparently this can help with glitter staying put). Very clean and simple card for me, I coloured the image ages ago but hadn't got around to creating with it until now.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Artistic Inspirations -  anything goes with optional twist: make it funny
Aud Sentiments - for a child plus sentiment

Square Block Monster Birthday card (Lawn Fawn stamps)

Hi Crafty Friends,

This card was a bit of fun to make and the small squares are a lot easier than it looks. I made the square background by gluing 1cm strips of bright cardstock onto white card. Once the whole white square card had lines of colours I cut off any overhanging strips. Then I cut the horizontal stripes vertically in 1cm strips so I had lots of lines of squares. Then I added them to another piece of card randomly trying to make sure no two square colours were next to each other. I wonder if any of you followed that lol? I know I didn't get it when I saw it in a magazine, I had to see a couple of photos along the way to figure it out. If you do want to try it and didn't follow the instructions, let me know and I'll do it again with a photo tutorial along with it :)
