Happy Hour Starts Right Now card (Tiddly Inks image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

My two cards I'm posting tonight are both created with summery images from Tiddly Inks. I love this image so much, it really reminds me of holidays which I can only dream about at the moment seeing as it's winter here and we had our big European holiday last year so no more for a while sob sob.

I added some gold glitter with clear glue onto the "sand" for texture and used my handmade cloud stencil to make the sky. I used the Lawn Fawn die borders for the sand and water layers, also using a wave die too. I then used some Stickles to give the waves a little dimension. The background palm trees are images from Scrapper's Delights, I used PNG images so I could add them into the scene.

18th Girly Birthday card using Oxide Inks (Crafts & Me / Hannah Lynn image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

My daughter's friend just turned 18 so my daughter requested I make her a special card. Zoe's a gorgeous redhead but she loves her tanning creams so her skin is a similar colour to her hair. I coloured her skin with my usual Copic skin colours and then went over it with Y21 or Y23 (I can't quite remember). Although it seems like a strange colour combo I used the same colours for her card last year and they're both a couple of my favourite cards I've created. I've added last years card below the new one so you can see they're similar but different.

I made the background using some distress inks and water. I black glitter embossed the chipboard clock face, letters and numbers.

You can find the beautiful image at Crafts and Me.

A Mermaid and her little friend card (Mari Digis images)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I created this background paper with my Oxide inks, some Perfect Pearls and water, then finished with a few drops of glossy accents all over. The silver sides are white card that I embossed with my silver embossing powder to match the embossed sentiment.

The oh-so-lovely mermaid and seahorse are available at Mari Digis. I've added some Wink of Stella to the mermaid and seahorse too for that extra bit of sparkle.

It's so difficult to take great photos here at the moment as we're in the middle of winter and there's sometimes not much sun to be found.

Love Sunnies Summer Girl card (Lemon Shortbread image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have been a bit busy redecorating my home at the moment and school holidays so I haven't had a chance to post my freshly created cards on my blog until now (sitting on my lovely new chaise with my luxuriously warm and cosy blanket). I always seem to find some time to create though.

This gorgeous image comes from Lemon Shortbread and I used some glossy accents on her sunglasses, lips and the hearts. I sparkled her top with some Wink of Stella and doodled some faux red stitching around the image to finish it off. The plaid papers are from Lawn Fawn.
