A wonderful friend card (Saturated Canary image)

Hi crafty friends,

A sweet little card to show tonight, I just love this girl and her bunny pal from Saturated Canary. They no longer sell images but you may find it at Make it Crafty. I was inspired by the floral paper when it came to her outfit. I heat embossed the sentiment with red powder.

Friends and Unicorns (Yampuff image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have been making a lot of my own backgrounds lately and here's another of my experiments. I have a few stencils and just received some textured paste (I think it might be called moulding paste actually). I absolutely love it! You can use a trowel to smooth it over the stencil onto your cardstock and leave it to dry for a while. Once it was dry I put the stencil back on and then used my distress inks to blend a couple of colours together. By putting the stencil back on it protects the white background from accidentally getting any ink on it. The gorgeous sentiment comes from Tiddly Inks and I think the unicorn is from Yampuff.

Friends are the essence of Life (Bugaboo sentiment)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I made this card using a hot pink Elise flower from my company, Flourish with a Bling. This flower comes in a range of beautiful colours. 

The shape for this card was really easy to make, keeping the bottom part at 15cm and the top at 5cm just so the back of the card is still attached. It does stand up easily (only will be an issue on really shiny surfaces). 

The lovely sentiment is from Bugaboo. I doodled around the sentiment with a Sharpie pen.

This card was in Australian magazine, Love Cardmaking issue 10 along with 5 more of my cards (I've just posted one, will show the rest on my blog in the near future).

I'm rich card (Zuri Artsy Craftsy image)

Hi crafty friends,

Isn't it lovely how we all can communicate and share our creativity with others all over the world nowadays? I know I sound old haha but it's so hard to imagine no internet now, what did we do, how did we find information on anything without Google, I just can't believe most of us have lived in those days, I'm sure the younger generation couldn't even fathom the idea of no technology hehe! I know my daughter wouldn't survive without her mobile it would seem haha.

I love sharing my cards and I absolutely love looking through other blogs to get inspiration and get me excited to create when I have a little lull in mojo.

I have created this card for my very first girlfriend who lives in England (I'm in Australia). We have kept in contact and even caught up with each in person a few times over the past 33 years. My family emigrated to Oz when I was 10. We are hoping to meet in Vegas this year, what fun that will be! I loved this sentiment out of a friendship book of quotes I have so I decided to add it to my card. The sweet girl is from Zuri Artsy Craftsy and I added some little alphas to the letter she is holding hehe.
