A table card tutorial for Jo's Scrap Shack (Little Blue Button Stamps images)

Hi everyone,

I won a Guest Designer spot at Jo's Scrap Shack and Jo suggested a tutorial to go along with it. I've made a couple of these shaped cards in the past and never showed how to create it so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to show Jo's crafty friends and mine how to make one of these cards.

It's one of my favourite shaped cards - A lady by the name of Katie K first gave me the idea after I saw her icecream stand card tutorial. I call it a table card but if there's a real name for it I'd love to know.

I have a lot of photos rather than writing as I think it's easier to follow but feel free to comment or email me if my instructions aren't easy to understand and I'll be happy to try and make them clearer. Here's my finished card (below) so you know what it is I'm doing the tutorial on, I used gorgeous girlies from Little Blue Button Stamps:

This was so much fun to create, I also paper pieced all of their dresses.

So here's how to create your own table card:

Once this shaped card has been created you can go ahead and decorate it with anything you like! Here are close ups of my card:

Have a Magical Day (Little Miss Muffet image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

Aww, isn't this little magician just so sweet? I turned my card into a triangular type shape by just shaving about 3cm off each top side, it's very easy but I like how this shape turns out for something a bit different. I added some Glossy Accents to the magic ball he's holding and the stars but it's hard to tell in the photo. You can find this sweet boy at Little Miss Muffet. The sentiment is from one of Lawn Fawn's fairy stamp sets.

Circular Basketball teenage Birthday card

Hi Crafty Friends,

One of my son's friends is right into basketball this year so I decided to google basketball clipart and found this one. I enlarged it and printed it onto glossy photo paper then die cut it with one of my circle dies. I die cut a larger black circle too to make the card a little larger. I also printed out the sentiment on glossy paper. Quite a simple card but I think it turned out quite well for a teenager.

My daughter turns 17 Birthday card (The Paper Shelter image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I made this card for my daughter who's just turned 17. The image is from The Paper Shelter and I thought it perfect for my daughter who loves fashion, make up and shoes. I printed out a couple of extra shoes to colour and fussy cut out to add to the card. I also added a beautiful shimmering teal flourish from Flourish with a Bling.
