You are awesome! (Tiddly Inks image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

Me again and this time I made my own background paper in a different way. I cut a square piece of cardstock the size I wanted the striped paper then used double sided adhesive tape on that square. I cut my scrap pieces of pink, mauve and black cardstock into thin strips and then added them onto the square. Once I'd covered the whole square I turned it over and cut all the overhanging strips. Then mounted it onto some black cardstock. The grey square was white cardstock that I added oxide ink to and sprayed water on it for some texture. The gorgeous image comes from Tiddly Inks. I also stamped 2 cute butterflies then fussy cut them out along with the image.

Magical dinosaur card (Bugaboo images)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I've had a lovely day creating and so I have a few cards to show over the weekend. I've been playing around with inking and making my own backgrounds, I hope you're going to like some of the backgrounds I've created.

This background was very easy to begin with. I first die cut an oval to use as a template (using both the negative and positive sides. I missed a slight white line between the "land and sky" but otherwise it turned out well, I will go over the white line with a green Copic which should do the trick. I used a sunburst style template for the sun rays then die cut a circle for the sun. I fussy cut the dinosaurs (you can find them at Bugaboo) and the lovely Lawn Fawn sentiment was embossed.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Girls just wanna have fun - embossed clothing (All Dressed Up images)

Hi Crafty Friends,

Here's my last card for tonight, thank you so much if you've checked all 5 cards out!

I used an All Dressed Up image set and instead of colouring their outfits with Copics I decided to use silver, white and green embossing powders. I used a fine paint brush and my embossing ink refiller - to carefully paint on the embossing ink one colour at a time, add the powder and heat-set it before doing the next colour. I feel it was half successful in the end but I did have to go around the images with my fine black marker to define the outfits once totally dry. I think practice would make perfect so I will try again in the future.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

A Gem of a Challenge - embossing (heat embossed their outfits)

Worm Wishes CAS card (Bugaboo images)

Hi Crafty Friends,

You may think this looks somewhat familiar and that's because my last card had the same mixed media background paper as I made it then cut it in half so I could use it for 2 completely different themes - outer space and underwater. I've kept both cards clean and simple. Both the mermaid, worm & sentiment are all from Bugaboo.
