Handmade Hexagon background Baby card

Hi Crafty Friends,

Another way of using up my scraps of paper pads is to die cut hexagons and glue them all onto the background, I love this look too, I'm so addicted to hexagons at the moment! I think this is a Kaisercraft baby paper pad, are the papers beautiful?

Welcome baby bear scene card (Bugaboo image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I made this card for a magazine commission which was baby themed. I inked up the background sky with distress oxide inks and used Lawn Fawn die cuts to create the grass and flower background. The cute little image is from Bugaboo and I punched out a few little butterflies to finish the card.

Purple, green and blue thank you card

Hi Crafty Friends,

I've had some papers forever and not known quite how to create with them. Lately I've been creating strips of the papers and adhering them to a scrap piece of paper then faux stitching on the joins. I love how these turn out. Let me know if anyone wants me to take photos of the process I do as it's really simple but I think it looks really effective, hopefully you think so too.

Congratulations on your baby boy (Little Miss Muffet image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

Here's my first of 5 cards to show tonight, I've been on holidays this past week or so and I think it shows lol, I can't stop making cards when I'm home and not doing housework! This card I created for a magazine commission, I created the background paper with a lime green copic marker, just roughly making lines across the paper. The die cut green frae was coloured the same way so that all the papers and image were the same colour. The image is from Little Miss Muffet but I haven't added the link like I usually do as the website wasn't up.

Make a Summer Wish (Polkadoodles image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

Don't you just love Polkadoodles images? I love this sweet girl. I used PNG files so I could add her to the cloudy paper background (also from Polkadoodles). I have a close up below so you can see the dandelions have some glitter added to them. I coloured her up with my Copic markers.

Gold Striped Paris Birthday Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

Oh how I loved creating this background with my washi tapes. I rarely use them so this was really fun to try something new. I die cut some glitter foam stars to finish it off. I also have a black strip of cardstock on the left hand side but it's hard to see because I photographed the card on a black background.

Glamour Girl Birthday Card (Whoopsi Daisy image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I coloured this glamour puss up a long time ago, I love her sexy dress and sassy stance. I thought she went well with black, white and a touch of burgundy.

Black & Silver Striped Birthday card

Hi Crafty Friends,

I played around with my washi tapes today and this is one of the cards I came up with. I've been creating striped papers with my paper scraps recently but I thought I'd give washi tape a go this time and I love how they've turned out (the photos don't do them justice sadly).

It's Party Time! (Polkadoodles images)

Hi crafty friends,

I loved colouring up these glitzy girls from Polkadoodles. They're individual images and so I added them together to make a party scene. I kept the rest of the card fairly basic as the stars are the girls. I coloured them with Copics.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Creatalicious - anything goes with optional twist: spots and/or stripes
Creative Inspirations - Glitz and glamour
A Gem of a Challenge - anything goes wk12
Digi Choosday - anything goes wk26
Polkadoodles -  anything goes wk 26
Simon Says Stamp (Wed) -  anything goes
Your Next Stamp - Trio of something - 3 girls

Have a great day,

XOX Lucy
