Faux Metal Male Birthday card

Hi Crafty Friends,

In between the girly Saturated Canary cards I have some masculine cards tonight. I silver embossed a white card and then embossed it for this male card. I did also add a little bit of scattered black embossing powder so it wasn't perfectly silver. I also used a stencil, texture paste and black ink to create the lined strip.

Inked Circle background Birthday card (Lia Stamps image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I love this summery image from Lia Stamps, it's actually a full girl but I cropped her so she was larger on my card and just showing her top half. I made the background first by making a circle template with my circle dies so that I could randomly ink circles all over. I started with the lightest colour (yellow) then used light blue up to a teal and dark blue.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Aud Sentiments - summer plus a sentiment
Brown Sugar - celebrations

Well wishes for a speedy recovery card

Hi Crafty Friends,

My uncle recently had a surgical operation so we went to visit and I created this card for him. I printed the sentiment on white card, then sponged my new oxide inks over it and dotted around some water. I added small black cardstock pieces then some black rhinestones. I did have to go over the sentiment with my Copic pen as the inks softened the black.

Sparkles and Spots Birthday card

Hi Crafty Friends,

I used my distress inks and round sponges to create this background. It didn't take long and I just used random circular movements with the different colours. I white heat embossed the sentiment and then added glitter to the letters. The sentiment stands out much more in real life. I also added some Liquid Pearl dots and sequins to finish the card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Creatalicious -  anything goes with optional twist: use your fave colour - teal and pink
Creative Inspirations -  your favourite things - inks, sequins
Simon Says Stamp (Mon) - going around in circles

Dotty Birthday Wishes card using stencil and texture paste

Hi Crafty Friends,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Lucky all of you who have just started summer, I wish I was there! We have just started our winter and boy is it cold already (for Australian standards, perhaps not compared to some of your winters).

I have a few cards to post, I do like to post them all at the same time so I hope you don't mind seeing a few of my posts in a row. Then I go quiet for a few days lol.

I have been playing with my stencils and texture paste again for this card. I let it dry then put the stencil back on and inked over the raised areas with my oxide ink in worn lipstick. I also inked up the card top and bottom to compliment the dots. I silver embossed the sentiment and used my grey/black glitter washi tape for the borders.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Brown Sugar - celebrations
Crafty Friends - make it pink
Crafty Gals Corner -  anything goes
Creatalicious - anything goes with optional twist: use your fave colour - pink

Jo's Scrap Shack -  anything goes
Simon Says Stamp (Mon) - going around in circles
Simon Says Stamp (Wed) -  anything goes
Southern Girls - anything goes
Word Art Wednesday -  anything goes

Big hugs to you all,

Big Hugs card

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have been having so much fun creating my own backgrounds lately, I am just loving using stencils and texture paste.

I again used a stencil and texture paste here and once the paste was dry I inked over it all in Oxide Ink Broken China then spritzed some water over it. Once that was dry I inked over the raised areas with my embossing ink pad then added clear embossing powder to give it a clear shine. I die cut the hot air balloon 3 times, once in white, yellow and pink to give it height - the white on the bottom then pink and yellow then the opposite parts on top. I went over the entire balloon with Mod Podge for gloss. I heat embossed the sentiment and die cut it out using my Lawn Fawn sentiment and die sets. I didn't take much care when I was inking the background as I thought I would be trimming it down but I decided a liked it fading out into white so left it as is.

Well that's it from me today but it's only just after midday here in Oz and I have some time on my hands to craft this arvo so never say never lol.

Red and Black Male Birthday card

Hi Crafty Friends,

I'm back with another masculine card, I've been trying to add more masculine cards to my stash as about 1 in 30 cards I make are for boys/men lol. I used a sunburst stencil and texture paste for this card. Once the paste was dry I inked the Fired Brick distress ink on the bottom level then placed the stencil back on to protect the red while I inked the raised areas in black.
