A cute Little Witch and her Cat card (Conie Fong image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I'm back! Sorry I keep neglecting my blog for a month or so at a time but I've been a bit busy lately - I've been to Italy on holidays, started a new interior decorating course and... I've been setting up an Instagram account for my cards so it's nice and easy to see all my cards in one place now rather than scrolling through my blog! Ok, so now onto my card for today and I coloured up this little cutie from Conie Fong for my 2 darling little nieces that are going to "spook" everyone in their neighbourhood in a couple of days' time hehe. I used my distress oxide inks to create the background and I coloured her with my copics and fussy cut her out.

Guest Designer at Imagine That Creative Playground Blog - Summer card

Hi Crafty Friends,

I was lucky enough to win a guest designer spot at Imagine That Creative Playground blog. They have such gorgeous images I was honored to play with their digital images, backgrounds, papers and sentiment sets. 

I had a lot of fun creating this card. I used the PNG files so I could move the items around on the beach to suit my card. I made the girl on the card the same size as a black & white version so I could colour her and her towel myself, fussy cut her and paste onto the scene. I added the PNG sentiment that comes along with it too before printing. This background is so versatile, you can use it with any beachy images so it's definitely worth buying this set. Super Girl Mel Saves the Day card (Mari image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

I made this card for one of my lovely classmates (I'm currently learning interior decoration and surprisingly my knowledge with making cards has come in handy when it comes to colour combos, design, scale and proportion, etc lol). Anyway, she was so helpful when we were doing a team assignment I just had to say thank you in the best way I know how, make a personalised card! She loved it and said she'd keep it forever so that's always nice to hear :)

I used red glitter paper to die cut the sentiment and stars. The background was created with a stencil and some distress oxide inks.

Beachy and Amazing card (The Paper Shelter image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

The Paper Shelter has so many gorgeous images and when you purchase them they come in black & white and colour along with backgrounds too. I decided to create 3 cards today with The Paper Shelter images but using different backgrounds to the ones they come with. 

I'm not sure if anyone has tried this technique of adding an image to a background digitally but you just use the PNG image (not JPEG) so that you can add it in front of the background. I used a pre-coloured image for this card.

Hello You card (CC Designs image)

Hi Crafty Friends,

CC Designs have a Facebook competition on at the moment and are giving this gorgeously girly image for free to use. I used some beautiful papers from Echo Park to complete my card and coloured the girl with Copics. I also used Lawn Fawn stitch dies and sentiment stamp.
